Report
Report to the person in your association who is the designated contact person for safety in your association.
If no one is clearly designated, contact the chairperson or any other person you consider appropriate.
If it could be a breach of your statutes or a breach of values, code of conduct, etc. you should try to find out what happened and then follow the remaining steps here. If you feel unsure, contact your federation, RF-SISU or the Sports Ombudsman at the Swedish Sports Confederation.
Questions to ask: What has happened? Who else knows about what happened? Are there any witnesses? What has been done so far? Is there a need for support? How can we prevent it from happening again?
Is further action needed?
Identifying needs
Identify the support needs of the victim, the coach, the club committee, any other people involved and the perpetrator. If there are grounds for suspension, warning or training, implement it.
Identify who needs to be informed about what happened and what kind of information it should be. Be mindful of privacy, not everyone needs to know everything.
Follow the procedure that you have established during the prevention work to follow up what has happened. You can get help with the prevention work from RF-SISU.
Have you learned anything from the situation that could help you develop your business? Make sure there is good documentation on how the case was handled.

If the perpetrator has a position of trust in any form, they should take time out during any investigation. This requires a Board decision and that it is recorded in the minutes.
If the perpetrator is a child, parental dialog is very important. If the incident can be classified as a breach of the law – report to the Social Services. This also applies to concerns about the situation of children.
