My feelings today

Time required: 5 min

Everyone in the group will think about what feelings they have had during the day. With two of these feelings, they will then think about when and why they think they felt this particular feeling. Ask them to choose two emotions and then ask them to think about when and why they think they felt these two emotions.

Remember that emotions do not have to be divided into positive and negative, rather it is the case that some emotions are pleasant and others unpleasant. Both pleasant and unpleasant emotions have an impact on our choices.

Reflect

Today we are going to reflect on our feelings! For this you will need something to write on – mobile phones are fine.

Now think about two feelings you had during the day. Also think about when you had the feeling and if you know why you felt that feeling at that time.

We will not talk about your feelings in a group, nor do you have to tell anyone what you have written down.

If you want to talk to me or another leader about something you felt today, that is of course fine!
